Grandma was very proud of Rose being the manager of the V.F.W. She'd tell me that Rose ran the place. That she always had to go in to work early for deliveries etc. It would have crushed Grandma too had Rose been let go while she was still living. Grandma used to tell me that Rose & I were the 2 best house keeper's she knew! Ha!Ha! Rose always kept her home nice and she always took pretty good care of herself. She was a pretty woman.
